James Cook University in Singapore Services: Media Coaching Period: 2026 Countries: Singapore Challenge: To..." word_count: 774 --- # leading non-profit PR agency in Asia Here is a sampling of government agencies, educational institutions, and non-profits (charities) we have worked with. ## James Cook University in Singapore **Services: Media Coaching Period**: 2026 **Countries**: Singapore **Challenge**: To raise awareness of the subject matter experts (SMEs) of James Cook University in Singapore (JCU in Singapore), we were tasked to create a customized training program for some of their faculty and specialist staff, so that they could be spokespersons on particular subject matter. **Successes**: We have helped the client develop a customized training workshop geared to help some of their esteemed faculty and specialist staff to understand the media, how best to be engaged in media interviews, and to understand how to engage with the media in more challenging scenarios. The non-profit serves people with physical challenges and their caregivers with services such as rehabilitation, training, respite care, wheelchair-accessible transport, as well as a social enterprise that places employment for people with physical challenges.* **Services: PR, Media Coaching** **Period**: 2019-now **Countries**: Singapore **Challenge**: In an environment where non-profits, with finite resources, need to reach as many people as possible to allow their services to benefit more people, it is challenging. **Successes**: Helped the non-profit's leadership become aware and prepared when facing the media and became self-reliant in working and collaborating with the media. Communicated some of the key initiatives of the non-profit to the media, resulting in various media coverage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0ffBXbPfLQ --- ## Montfort Care *Montfort Care is one of the leading Singapore social service agencies (SSAs) that supports individuals, families, and communities facing life's challenges with services in family support, child protection, anti-violence, mental health, caregiving, and eldercare.* **Services: Internal communications Period**: 2025 **Countries**: Singapore **Challenge**: The SSA needed a "red team" to assist the organization in the next lap of its community service. **Successes**: We developed and ran a focus group program with many of their key team members, helping to clarify the positioning of the organization. We provided professional recommendations for brand clarity after running the entire focus group program. --- ## SPD *We worked with the leadership of the non-profit Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD) to prepare the society’s executives and leaders when facing the media with full suites of delivery materials. I recently delivered a pro-bono short film with some peers.* **Services: Marketing, Media Coaching Period**: 2004, 2014 **Countries**: Singapore **Challenge**: In an environment where being prepared in front of the media, especially broadcast live, is paramount for an emerging non-profit at that time,. **Successes**: Helped the non-profit’s leadership become aware and prepared when facing the media and became self-reliant in working and collaborating with the media. SPRING Singapore’s ACE organized the BlueSky Festival to celebrate and highlight growing and exciting enterprises in Singapore.
